Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce a college scholarship opportunity to make it easier for you to meet tuition costs. The $12,000 Credit Union College Scholarship Program for 2020, offered through the Credit Union Foundation, is underway now! Our college-bound members are eligible to apply for one of ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships, one $1,000 video-based scholarship, and one $1,000 photo-based scholarship. And yes, you may apply in all three categories. ESSAY-BASED SCHOLARSHIP – This year’s essay topic: It’s ten years in the future—the year 2030. Describe your vision of how you will manage your personal finances then. Include how you will pay for things, save, and borrow. Imagine how your credit union will help make that vision a reality. (750 word maximum) VIDEO-BASED SCHOLARSHIP – Create a 60-second video showing how you will manage your personal finances with JHFCU as your financial services partner in the year 2030. PHOTO-BASED SCHOLARSHIP – Capture an original photograph with the theme “Innovation.” Any credit union member entering their freshman through senior year of college or trade school may apply.
