It’s Time to Apply for METRO’s 2017 College Scholarship!

METRO's College Scholarship!

METRO is pleased to once again offer its College Scholarship Program. This year, METRO will recognize four outstanding, graduating high school seniors–within San Diego County–with a cash award for college. Our top recipient will be awarded $3,000 and three other recipients will each be awarded $1,000.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Graduating high school senior
  • Cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or better, based upon a 4.0 scale
  • Acceptance by, or planning to attend, an accredited college or university full-time
  • Personal or parental member of METRO (in good standing)

Submissions must be postmarked by March 31, 2017.*

METRO employees, members of the Board, Supervisory Committee and their family members are not eligible to participate in this program. The METRO Scholarship Committee will determine the awards, and financial need may be a consideration. The scholarships will be payable no later than December 31, 2017. Award check will be sent directly to college/university of choice. The recipient’s name and likeness may be used for press releases and member communications. The METRO Scholarship Committee reserves the right to make changes to the scholarship program at any time. All decisions are final.
